Multilevel inverters (MLIs) have gained wide attention in industry and academia to provide higher voltage levels with lower harmonics, power losses, cost. This study proposes a new asymmetrical MLI topology reduced component count (RCC). The proposed can be extended three-phase structure both modular cascaded configurations generate the required number of for high-voltage applications. To minimize losses stress on switches, this configuration has potential produce negative polarity without an H-bridge configuration, thereby active switches are only three conduction path. Due possibility applying different switching patterns, article solution by employing particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm determine optimized dc sources’ magnitude. improve quality total harmonic distortion (THD), optimal angle (OSA) modulation technique is applied optimum angles PSO algorithm. Moreover, topology’s effectiveness compared conventional (CHB) 15-levels illustrated providing comparative results that express fewer losses. Finally, feasibility its approach validated single-phase prototype utilizing 15- 25-levels.
